This handy Food & Symptom Diary has 4 months of pages to record and track your food intake as well as your symptoms, with a quick-reference symptom scale at the side to log how you felt that day – making it easy to look back and find patterns between your most symptomatic days to identify your personal triggers. Also includes areas to note key triggers like alcohol, sleep, stress and exercise. There are diary tables for the re-introduction stage of the Low FODMAP Diet and a useful Low FODMAP Pantry List. We have also worked with Registered & Fodmap Trained Dietitian Laura Tilt, to ensure the diary obtains all the info dietitians will need to help you identify your triggers and improve your IBS symptoms. “You can easily keep track of whether you’re in the elimination, reintroduction or continuation phase of the diet by simply ticking a box. That way, when you look back on it, everything is all in perfect order.

But most importantly, it has a section for noting down how you felt that day and how your bowel behaved (or didn’t in most cases!)

You can even record your mood on the smiley face scale at the side of each page. The attention to detail really is awesome. If there’s anything irritating or aggravating your gut, trust me, this food diary won’t miss it.”

    Don’t start the low fodmap diet without this! It’s been so helpful for me. I’d found before that I never stuck to filling out an app-based food diary. I love to write and having a physical book I could carry around with me worked much better. It follows me everywhere and is a constant visual reminder. From my bedside table to my desk. It’s also my companion when I cook, there’s a handy section in the back that lists foods you can have and quantities. The symptom scales are super handy for charting how you feel morning and night and as they’re along the edges of each page, it’s easy to flick through the diary and pick out days where you felt good or bad. This allows you to quickly compare what you ate that day. There’s also a notes section where you can add anything additional like bowel movements or if you were anxious that day etc. You can pack lots of info into each day and it becomes a priceless resource when it comes to reviewing your diet.
